Welcome to my Sims 2 Blog!

This blog is to keep track of all my Sims 2 (TS2) stuffeths. I mostly "build" - houses, apartments, recreational, and community lots - but, I also create walls (and murals), floors, terrain paint, and various other recolors. And I've written a few tutorials too. 😁

All of my items are available through Mod the Sims - MTS2: CatherineTCJD.

Most of my stuff is also posted on Tumblr: A Peacock's Tale.

And I'm slowly adding things to Simblr: CatherineTCJD.

I also have an archive of everything I have made on SFS: CatherineTCJD.

Thank you for visiting!

Maxis Hood Deco Barn ~ Converted to a Basic House for DIY - No CC

Originally uploaded to MTS on Aug. 25th, 2016.

I had a few requests to make a CC-Free and UNdecorated version of my Maxis Hood Deco Barn Converted to House. So, here it is - a DIY shell. Have fun with it! 😉

It is pretty bare bones - but livable. There is a phone, a few light fixtures, kitchen basics - including an eating table with 2 chairs, plumbing, bed, sofa, and TV.

If you are comparing this version to the fully decked-out one I posted the other day, you will notice that some of the walls have changed. I moved them back to where I originally had them when I was attempting to recreate the "barn" - the 6 stalls are more apparent now.

I originally designed the stairs to be open-underneath; so, when I took out the custom stairs, I had to replace them with the only other open-underneath BG stairs - which are the modern/metal Holy Smoke stairs. They are hardly "Country" (IMHO) Please change them to your favorite open-underneath stairs ASAP! Also, to make the balcony railings match, I replaced the wood railings with the black metal 'Minimal' rails.

Have fun making this into your dream-"barn"-house. Enjoy!

This barn has been tested for functionality/playability. This is a clean copy. No sim has ever set foot in this barn. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer.

There is no parking added.

This is a pet-friendly build. Pet items are not included, but there is ample space for them - the 2nd floor tub is accessible for dog washing.

Definitely needed and NOT included - you MUST get this before installing this lot:
- Unlevel Wall - #90 by Numenor/MTS2 - used to fix CFE'd wonky walls on the top/attic level. (Installation help is at the bottom of my TOU page)

There is no CC included.

Lot Size: 5x3
Lot Price (furnished): $40,120
