Welcome to my Sims 2 Blog!

This blog is to keep track of all my Sims 2 (TS2) stuffeths. I mostly "build" - houses, apartments, recreational, and community lots - but, I also create walls (and murals), floors, terrain paint, and various other recolors. And I've written a few tutorials too. 😁

All of my items are available through Mod the Sims - MTS2: CatherineTCJD.

Most of my stuff is also posted on Tumblr: A Peacock's Tale.

And I'm slowly adding things to Simblr: CatherineTCJD.

I also have an archive of everything I have made on SFS: CatherineTCJD.

Thank you for visiting!

Sameville ~ a flat SC4 terrain map for you to cutomize

Cross posted to MTS and Simblr.

Sameville
a very flat small town map
with a nice coastline!

I spent my formative years - ages 8 through 18 - in a place called Spring Hill, Florida. At that time it was just a "place" ...not yet incorporated into a town - still with dirt roads if you veered too far off from the main boulevard. It had one school, one small grocery, and one gas station with a convenience store - oh, thank Heaven! The whole development was designed as a "retirement" community, meant to entice New Yorkers to buy their Florida-dream-opportunity sight unseen, and move down to the land of eternal sunshine. (And many did!)

In my angsty teenage years I was fond of calling it 'Sprung Hell' - with a HUGE eyeroll. 😩
I couldn't wait to move out and go off to Uni, some place far, far away.

Bella Hills
~ a terraced customizable terrain map ~

This terraced map has three distinct tiers - 3 different altitudes/elevations for your sims to explore.
I am going to use it to build my custom vacation 'hood. (Featuring several new "cliff-side" houses!)

This map is designed to work best with smaller lot sizes - like 3X3 or smaller, lots.

Bella Isle ~ a customizable island terrain map

Bella Isle
~ a customizable island terrain map ~

This small, flat, island map was inspired by my memories of living on Amelia Island, Florida. (The map does not portray Amelia Island at all - but it reminds me of my time there.) It is a terrific big city/small town/touristy area! I'm going to use this map for my Bella Downtown.

I made sure that beach lots will place easily all along the perimeter roads.

~ a customizable terrain map with two distinct regions ~

This small map was inspired by a few college-towns in Northern Florida. I'm going to use it for my Bella University.

I made sure that beach lots will place easily along the two water-side roads.

Bella Bend
~ A Riverside Map For You To Customize ~

This map was inspired by the smaller riverside towns along Florida's Intracoastal Waterway. It is a relatively flat map - because Florida is pretty flat! (We like to joke about our "Florida Mountains" - which are really just storm clouds on the horizon. Yes, it is that flat!)

We don't have a lot of basements in Florida either, the water-table is literally 6 feet down in many places! So, I don't recommend basements on this map - especially along the coast. They will flood.

This relatively small map was inspired by several little towns along the Florida coast, hence the name Bella Key. (We like to call small islands "Keys" around here.) 😉
