Welcome to my Sims 2 Blog!

This blog is to keep track of all my Sims 2 (TS2) stuffeths. I mostly "build" - houses, apartments, recreational, and community lots - but, I also create walls (and murals), floors, terrain paint, and various other recolors. And I've written a few tutorials too. 😁

All of my items are available through Mod the Sims - MTS2: CatherineTCJD.

Most of my stuff is also posted on Tumblr: A Peacock's Tale.

And I'm slowly adding things to Simblr: CatherineTCJD.

I also have an archive of everything I have made on SFS: CatherineTCJD.

Thank you for visiting!

S. C. Apartments ~ Studio Apartments for 1 or 2 Sims. No CC.

Originally uploaded to MTS on Feb. 4th, 2016. Now updated for 2022.

Yup. You guessed it: "S. C." means Shipping Containers. Clever?
(Well, consider that I've only just poured my second cuppa - and I'm usually still asleep this time of day. Yes. It's clever - clever enough anyway *sheesh*) Shipping containers are solidly built, compact spaces, that can easily convert into living quarters. These 5 shipping containers have been welded into a steel frame in such a way as to provide 5 separate living compartments - each with it's own private patio above it.

Everything you need to enjoy Sim-life to the fullest is right here in this apartment complex. All basic needs are met inside the apartment; plus there is a full range of skill-building, socializing, and artistic development items for all the residents to share and enjoy.
There are two common areas - one on the first floor and one on the rooftop - and the Back Yard has lots to offer too...

Please scroll down through all the pictures - I especially like this one:

These apartments are fully furnished and lightly decorated. All appliances, plumbing and lighting are included. All stoves have smoke alarms, each apartment has a telephone. However, there are no burglar alarms. NOTE: Kitchen space is at a premium - you will either have to delete the nuker or use an OMSP for food prep.

This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer.

There is no parking.

There are no bathtubs for dog washing.

Thank you, Mootilda for the awesome Lot Adjuster tool - used to shrink this lot so it fits nicely in the Road-to-Nowhere median of Strangetown..

Possibly used but NOT included - so, you may need to GO get it:
- I use the Lifestyle Build Bundle wallpapers/floors ALL the time. (follow the link and it's the second link in the top post - extracted by Argon/MATY) This 'bundle' lives back in my Bins folder so it doesn't have the CC star. If you ever enter one of my builds and find it has blank/unpapered walls/floors, it is because I used ones from this bundle and forgot to mention it. So, either substitute the wall/floor of your choice, or go get this bundle and re-install the lot (from your lot bin.)

There is no Custom Content Included! But...

You MUST have Moi's Invisible Fence by Niol (Moi_FenceInvisibleMeshless-r) in your Download folder before you place this lot in your hood! It is invisible - you can't see it or click on it - and it is used to enclose the spiral staircases linking each apartment with its upstairs patio. Without this fence the apartments will be broken.

Lot Size: 4x1 (Lot Adjusted)
Lot Price (furnished): $114,441
Rent (furnished): $1,238 - $1,246 (Scroll to the bottom for help renting a furnished apartment!)

How to rent a Furnished Apartment:
- Bring up the cheat box with CTRL-SHIFT-C.
- Enter the following cheat: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
- Walk your sim to the front door of the apartment that you want to rent. They need to be standing right in front of the door.
- Clear any actions from your sim's queue - including other sims trying to talk to them.
- SHIFT-click on the door of the apartment you wish to rent and choose "Rent Furnished."
- If the action falls out of your queue, your sim probably needs to be closer to the door.
- Once the apartment is rented, bring up the cheat box again.
- Enter: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false to turn the cheat off again.
