Welcome to my Sims 2 Blog!

This blog is to keep track of all my Sims 2 (TS2) stuffeths. I mostly "build" - houses, apartments, recreational, and community lots - but, I also create walls (and murals), floors, terrain paint, and various other recolors. And I've written a few tutorials too. 😁

All of my items are available through Mod the Sims - MTS2: CatherineTCJD.

Most of my stuff is also posted on Tumblr: A Peacock's Tale.

And I'm slowly adding things to Simblr: CatherineTCJD.

I also have an archive of everything I have made on SFS: CatherineTCJD.

Thank you for visiting!

MidCentury Design V12707
1-Step Foundation
4 bedrooms - 3.5 bathrooms - garage
- pet friendly - pool - no-slope basement -

Only 1 CC used: HL's SimplePassageStairs (necessary to access the 1-click foundation)

Perfect for a growing family on a tight budget. Enjoy!

This floor plan comes from the book One-Story Homes, published by HomePlanners, Inc in 1991. An on-line archive of the plan is HERE.

I must explain the "Z-fighting Mess" (flickering) between the pool and basement walls, shown in the above picture. This is just a graphical glitch - it will not harm your game/computer in any way. It is caused by the way the Grid-Adjuster manipulates walls for a no-slope basement. If it bothers you too much, just take out the pool. I kept it in; I thought the pool was worth it. Also note - the basement has huge sections that are unfinished. If you finish it out, you can hide the Z-fighting/flicker with tall bookshelves.

Please enjoy touring the inside of this house by scrolling down through all the pictures. I hope you have a sim family who will enjoy living here.

This house is sparsely furnished. All appliances, plumbing and lighting are included. The stove and fireplace have smoke alarms. The front door is burglar alarmed. There is a telephone on each level.

This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer.

There is parking for one vehicle in the garage. The driveway is shortened - so there will be no car-turning-in-the-driveway animations.

This is a pet-friendly build. No pet items are included - but there is plenty of space to add them, the tub is accessible for dog washing.

Possibly used but NOT included - so, you may need to GO get it:
- I use the Lifestyle Build Bundle wallpapers/floors ALL the time. (If you followed that link, it's the second link in the top post - extracted from Lifestyle Stories by Argon @ MATY) This 'bundle' lives back in my Bins folder so it doesn't have the CC star. If you ever enter one of my builds and find it has blank/unpapered walls/floors, it is because I used ones from this bundle and forgot to mention it. So, either substitute the wall/floor of your choice, or go get this bundle and re-install the lot (from your lot bin.)

Thank you, Mootilda for the awesome Grid Adjuster and Lot Adjuster tools - both were used to make this lot.

Custom Content Included
- Simple Passage Modular Stair by HugeLunatic(HL)/Sims2Artists - these need a script file so follow the link and make sure you install them properly!

Lot Size: 3X2
Lot Price (furnished): $70,027
