Welcome to my Sims 2 Blog!

This blog is to keep track of all my Sims 2 (TS2) stuffeths. I mostly "build" - houses, apartments, recreational, and community lots - but, I also create walls (and murals), floors, terrain paint, and various other recolors. And I've written a few tutorials too. 😁

All of my items are available through Mod the Sims - MTS2: CatherineTCJD.

Most of my stuff is also posted on Tumblr: A Peacock's Tale.

And I'm slowly adding things to Simblr: CatherineTCJD.

I also have an archive of everything I have made on SFS: CatherineTCJD.

Thank you for visiting!

190 Sims Lane - Maxis Remodel: 2022 update with only 2 CC

Originally uploaded to MTS on Sept. 2nd, 2014. 2022 update with less CC.

*sigh* Something HAD to be done. The twins were going to morph into children any minute now! Where shall we put them? And, we've no place to park the mini-van! The plumbing downstairs leaks. The roof is full of holes. I can't see anything in this blasted dingy kitchen - AND it's also too small...

Instead of answering, Jake just picked up the phone and started dialing...

Now updated for 2022 - with much less CC!

Cat to the rescue! The Masons really liked their (almost French Provincial) Colonial Styled home in Pleasantview, it was just too small for their growing family. So, Cat widened the house by 2 tiles - which also made room for a nicer front door. Then she added a carport off the family room, ripped out the leaky downstairs bathroom, and made the kitchen a bit bigger and brighter.

Upstairs, she turned the kid's bedroom (which was one loooong room!) into two smaller bedrooms, and added a study nook to the upstairs landing. The Master Suite now has a full closet; and the balcony door matches the front door just beneath it.

The back patio and landscaping was kept pretty much the same; the hole-y roof was, of course, completely redone.

Momma Mason insisted on theming the twin's new bedrooms in those garish pink and blue wallpapers. Please change those out, as you see fit. Needless to say, the Masons were absolutely thrilled! I hope you will be too!

This was built to replace house number 190 Sims Lane, in Pleasantview - but, of course, you can put it wherever you'd like.

Please scroll down through ALL the pictures to see everything this house has to offer. The lot has been play-tested; everything is accessible and in good working order. There are three smoke alarms - one at the stove, one at the fireplace, and one at the outside grill. The phone is in the kitchen, and the burglar alarm is by the front door. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, trash compactor, stove, fridge, microwave, espresso maker, and bar.

This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer.

There is parking for three vehicles; two on the driveway, and one in the carport.

This is a pet-friendly build. No pet items are included, but there is space to add them. The Master bathtub has been reworked, and is accessible for doggie baths.

Pictures were taken with the following items in place, but they are NOT included:
- Backless Tub/Shower combo by HugeLunatic(HL)/MTS
